Conference Information
The California Department of Food and Agriculture will present its 13th Annual Fertilizer Research and Education Program conference on Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas, California.

The all day conference will focus on current and recently completed research projects for many California cropping systems. Attendees will learn about the latest efforts to improve nutrient management, protect water sources, and improve growers' economic viability. The morning session will include presentations on vegetable fertilization and the latest in new fertilizing materials, regulations, and trends.

Conference agenda will be available in September.

Representatives from agricultural supply and service organizations, Certified Crop Advisers (CCA), Pest Control Advisors (PCA), growers, farm advisers, researchers, and public officials are encouraged to attend the conference.

While at the National Steinbeck Center:

Visit the interactive $15 million dollar exhibits that explore literature, history, and agricultural. Nobel-Prize winning author John Steinbeck wrote about the people and the land of the Salinas Valley calling it "the valley of the world." The state-of-the-art gallery takes you on an interpretive, interactive, and audiovisual exploration of contemporary agriculture and its historical roots.
